Job summary

Calvary Care is seeking Personal Care Support Workers to assist clients in the Newcastle region with daily living activities at home and in the community. You will provide domestic assistance, social support, meal prep, transport and personal care as needed, contributing to quality of life for aged and high-needs clients.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability or Individual Support (desirable).
• Current and valid Driver’s Licence, comprehensively insured, reliable motor vehicle and smartphone.
• Capacity to embrace a role that is meaningful for the community and yourself.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service orientation.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.
• Proficiency in use of technology such as smartphone, email and internet.
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation.

Responsibilities

• Assist a diverse range of clients including aged and high needs with activities of daily living.
• Provide services such as Domestic Assistance, Social Support, Respite Care, Transport, Meal Preparation, Medication Administration and Personal Care at home and in the community.
