Job summary

Just Better Care Newcastle Hunter is seeking dedicated Home Cleaners or Support Workers to provide high quality in-home support. You will work with a roster of repeat clients in your local area, offering respectful, dignified care that encourages independence.

Responsibilities include domestic assistance, social support/transport, and monitoring client well-being. This role supports a pathway toward further qualification in aged care and disability services.

Qualifications

• At least one year's experience in In-Home or Cleaning or Support Work.
• Current and clear Criminal Record Check.
• Current CPR/First Aid Certificate.
• Current Australian Drivers Licence.
• Reliable, registered and fully-insured vehicle.
• Smartphone with internet access.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home support that is respectful, dignified, safe and promotes independence.
• Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.
• Social support/transportation for activities, shopping and medical appointments.
• Notice and report changes in customers’ well-being.
