Job summary

Pearl Home Care Pty is seeking a compassionate and reliable Aged Care Support Worker to join our growing team in Gladstone Park VIC 3043. This part-time role focuses on person-centred care, helping elderly clients in their own homes with personal care and daily activities.

You will work under the guidance of our care team, maintain dignity and independence for clients, and support social engagement while adhering to safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or commitment to obtain.
• Experience in aged care or disability support desirable.
• Commitment to person-centred care and elderly wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including showering, dressing, toileting and grooming in a respectful and dignified manner.
• Assist clients with mobility, transfers and safe movement around their home environment.
• Support clients with activities of daily living such as meal preparation, light housekeeping and laundry.
• Monitor and report on clients' physical and emotional wellbeing, noting any changes or concerns.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, supervisors and other care team members to ensure coordinated and consistent care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided and client interactions.
• Respect client privacy, confidentiality and dignity at all times.
• Follow all relevant health and safety protocols, including infection control and manual handling procedures.
• Support clients to engage in social activities and maintain connections with family and community where appropriate.
