Job summary

Linktal Recruitment is seeking an Import Operator for an established Australian forwarder in Sydney. You will manage import air and sea shipments from registration through to final delivery, handling documentation and liaising with overseas agents and customs brokers.

Join a long-standing team with opportunities to own end-to-end shipments, monitor customs clearance, and coordinate with transport providers while building operational knowledge in a busy freight forwarding environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of freight forwarding import experience (air or sea).
• Working knowledge of CargoWise.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate import air and sea shipments from registration through to final delivery.
• Review registrations and monitor customs clearance status.
• Follow up on missing documentation and coordinate paperwork with overseas agents, clients and customs brokers.
• Liaise with shipping lines, CTOs, customs, quarantine and other relevant authorities.
• Arrange cartage and coordinate delivery requirements with transport providers.
• Keep customers updated on shipment progress and delivery arrangements.
• Handle job costing and invoicing.
