Job summary

Red Cliffs Secondary College is seeking an experienced classroom teacher to deliver well-planned programs for Years 7–12, including VCE and VCE-Vocational Major. The role focuses on high-quality teaching, assessment and engaging diverse learners to improve student outcomes.

The successful applicant will have strong knowledge of the Victorian curriculum, demonstrated literacy and numeracy teaching, data-informed practice and a commitment to professional learning and school improvement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience using data to inform teaching and communicate progress to students and parents.
• Ability to monitor and assess student learning and respond to needs.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with students, parents and the community.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individuals.
• Contribute to curriculum development and evaluation within the school.
• Undertake other classroom duties as directed by the Principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Supervise and mentor student teachers.
• Use student data to inform teaching and meet targets for learning growth.
