Highvale Secondary College invites applications for a classroom teacher role. The position focuses on planning, preparation and delivery of teaching programs aimed at achieving specific student outcomes, with reflective practice to improve teaching quality.

As experience grows, teachers may take on additional responsibilities to support the school program and policy development, including supervising student teachers and contributing to school priorities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning and implementing high impact teaching strategies.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform teaching.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; collaborative relationships.
• Commitment to Department values and ongoing professional learning

Responsabilités

• Direct teaching and planning of programs to achieve student outcomes.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum or program.
• Undertake other classroom duties as determined by the School Principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties.
