Brighton Secondary College in Victoria seeks a classroom teacher to deliver high‑quality teaching and assessment across key subjects. The role involves planning and implementing evidence-based programs, using data to monitor progress and reporting to parents.

There is a strong emphasis on collaboration with staff, students and the wider school community, aligning with Department values and ongoing professional learning to raise student achievement.

Formación

• Knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy, with experience responding to student learning needs.
• Experience planning high‑impact teaching strategies and evaluating their impact on student growth.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform teaching, providing feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community.
• Commitment to Department values and ongoing professional learning to improve teaching.

Responsabilidades

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students;
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs;
• Participate in staff meetings, parent meetings, camps and excursions;
• Undertake other teaching and organisational duties as needed;
• Supervise and train student teachers;
• Use student data to inform teaching and achieve targets.
