Job summary

Spinal Life Australia is seeking a Personal Support Worker to provide one-on-one home-based support to clients with spinal cord injuries. You will assist clients in their homes with daily activities and personal care.

The role features set shifts, extra pay for weekends and nights, salary packaging to boost take-home pay, and ongoing training to grow your career within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Excellent listening and authentic communication.
• Able to work a fixed fortnightly roster with varied shifts.
• Hold a current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle; willing to obtain required checks.
• Experience in the field or hold relevant qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with transfers in and out of bed and wheelchairs (including hoist use).
• Deliver personal care, including toileting, bladder and bowel management.
• Provide basic wound care and assist with self-medication.
• Offer domestic support such as meal preparation, household tasks and laundry.
