Job summary

Spinal Life Australia is seeking Personal Support Workers to provide in-home support to clients with spinal cord injuries, helping them stay independent and engaged in daily life.

You will perform personal care, transfers with hoists, toileting support and light domestic tasks, all within a fixed roster. The role includes onboarding, ongoing training, weekend/night/holiday penalty rates, and salary packaging options, supporting your wellbeing and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Clear communication and connection with clients.
• Ability to commit to a fixed fortnightly roster.
• Access to reliable transport or driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home personal care including grooming, bathing, dressing, and oral hygiene.
• Assist with transfers using hoists.
• Toileting support and bladder/bowel management.
• Light domestic tasks such as meal prep, cleaning and laundry.

About the Role

As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide direct, in-home support to clients living with acquired spinal cord injuries, helping them maintain independence and quality of life.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Personal Care including grooming, bathing, dressing and oral hygiene
• Assisting with transfers using hoists
• Toileting support, including bladder and bowel management
• Light domestic support such as meal preparation, cleaning and laundry

About You

We Are Looking For Dedicated People Who

• Communicate clearly and build genuine connections with clients
• Can commit to a fixed fortnightly roster
• Hold a current driver's licence and have access to a reliable vehicle
• Hold, or willing to obtain, an NDIS Workers Screening Card and Working with Children Card
• Have relevant experience or qualifications in disability, nursing or community care is highly regarded
