Job summary

Department of Education Victoria – Wangaratta VIC is seeking a Classroom Teacher to deliver planned programs to a diverse student cohort across junior to senior levels.

This role involves collaborating with families, staff and the wider school community to meet student outcomes, using data to inform teaching and planning.

Range 1 and Range 2 classifications offer development opportunities and require a strong focus on literacy and numeracy for student growth.

Qualifications

• Must have provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
• Eligible to teach in Victorian government schools.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and teach literacy and numeracy learning.
• Experience using data to inform teaching and provide feedback on student progress.
• Commitment to ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area.
• Undertaking other classroom teaching related and organisational duties.
• Participating in parent/teacher meetings; staff meetings; camps and excursions.
• Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.
