Modus Projects is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our People & Culture team, supporting leaders and employees across Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia. This hands-on role covers recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and performance management across a growing national business.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a broad HR/generalist role.
• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline.
• Experience managing end-to-end recruitment across roles.
• Experience supporting employee relations and performance management matters.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, solutions-focused with ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience using HRIS platforms and the ability to learn new systems.
• Hands-on mindset and genuine interest in supporting people and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Leaders: Provide practical, timely advice on employee relations and day-to-day HR matters.
• Own Recruitment: Manage end-to-end recruitment across white- and blue-collar roles, from sourcing to onboarding.
• Manage the Employee Lifecycle: Coordinate contracts, inductions, onboarding, offboarding and HR administration.
• Navigate Employee Relations: Support leaders through people challenges and sensitive conversations.
• Build Strong Relationships: Work with leaders, employees and the People & Culture team across states.
• Contribute to People Projects: Support initiatives to improve engagement and HR processes.
• Keep Things Moving: Balance priorities, meet deadlines and deliver practical HR support.
