Job summary

Calvary Mater Newcastle is seeking an ICU Technician for a casual position to support safe patient transport and care in the Intensive Care Unit. You will assist with lifting, transferring patients to radiology and other wards, and perform maintenance on ventilators and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience with direct personal care of patients including lifting and positioning.
• Experience with transfer of patients between wards and to diagnostic radiography (CT/MRI)
• Recent experience in care and maintenance of ventilators, dialysis machines and other medical equipment
• Demonstrated communication, organisational and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-standard patient transport and support in ICU.
• Maintain and clean ventilators and other equipment; manage stock levels in ICU.
• Assist with patient care including lifting/positioning and transfers to radiology or between wards.
