Job summary

Calvary Mater Newcastle is seeking an ICU Technician for a casual position in the Newcastle area. You will provide safe patient transport, assist with lifting and positioning, and support ICU operations while maintaining ventilators and other critical equipment.

The role offers a casual arrangement with a pay rate of $35.05 per hour plus superannuation, annual leave loading and salary packaging options. Successful applicants will undergo pre-employment checks and have unlimited working rights in

Qualifications

Experience with direct personal care of patients including assisting with lifting and positioning.
Experience with transfer of patients between wards and to diagnostic radiography (CT/MRI).
Recent experience in assisting with care and maintenance of ventilators, dialysis machines and other medical equipment.
Demonstrated communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Provide a high standard of safe and courteous patient transport and patient support in ICU.
Maintenance and cleaning of ventilators and other ICU equipment.
Maintenance of stock levels within the Intensive Care Unit.
Assist with lifting, positioning and transfer of patients to radiography or between wards.
