Job summary

ACT Corrective Services (ACTCS) is seeking an ICT Systems Administrator (ASO4) for a full-time temporary role with a possibility of permanency. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day ICT system administration and support, applying SDLC and testing practices, and collaborating with stakeholders and vendors to implement system improvements.

The role requires strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work within a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in computer science preferred.
• Pre-employment medical is required for this role.
• National Police Check may be required.
• Australian citizenship, permanent residency or valid work visa required to be eligible for ACT Public Service employment.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support day-to-day ICT systems used by ACT Corrective Services.
• Apply System Development Life Cycle principles, including testing methodologies and best practices.
• Collaborate with team members, stakeholders and vendors to understand system requirements and user stories.
• Assist in continuous improvement of information, security and business solutions unit system administration processes.
