Job summary

Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) in Canberra is seeking an IT Solutions Developer – Systems Engineer to design, implement and evolve a sophisticated technology stack supporting mission-critical infrastructure. The role requires balancing predictive and agile approaches and collaborating with cross-functional teams across the enterprise.

You will contribute to policy and standards, oversee security administration lifecycle, and ensure high availability of systems.

Qualifications

• A tertiary degree in a STEM field relevant to the position.
• On-the-job experience in one of the listed technical skills.
• SITE C level requires 2+ years in a relevant role.

Responsibilities

• Select and apply systems design methods balancing plan-driven and agile approaches to ensure optimal project delivery.
• Conduct impact analyses on major design options and evaluate trade-offs for scalable, resilient infrastructure.
• Validate system designs for efficient resource utilisation and multi-vendor integration.
• Balance functional and non-functional requirements to meet performance and maintainability standards.
• Lead development of enterprise-wide system design policies and standards and govern infrastructure changes.
