Job summary

Compas PTY is seeking an ICT Support Officer to provide frontline ICT support across hardware, software, networks, accounts and devices in a Microsoft on-premises and cloud environment. This is a full-time, 100% office-based role in Barton, ACT.

The role requires current Baseline clearance, is a 3-month contract with a possible 3-month extension, and offers on-site work at Barton with close collaboration with government ICT services.

Qualifications

• Provide frontline ICT support for hardware, software, network, account and device issues.
• Triage, resolve and escalated service requests and incidents in line with service levels.
• Administer user accounts, systems, devices, software and ICT asset records.
• Support ICT projects, upgrades, testing, rollouts, cyber security controls and patching.

ICT Support Officer | Service Desk & Microsoft

Provide frontline ICT support across hardware, software, networks, accounts and devices in a Microsoft on-premises and cloud environment. This is a full-time, 100% office-based role in Barton, ACT.

Location: Barton, ACT
Work Arrangement: Full-time onsite – 100% office based
Contract Duration: 3 months with one 3-month extension option
Security Clearance Requirement: Current Baseline clearance at minimum
Closing Date: Monday, 31 August 2026 at 11:59pm Canberra time

Essential Tasks

• Provide frontline ICT support for hardware, software, network, account and device issues.
• Triage, resolve and escalated service requests and incidents in line with service levels.
• Administer user accounts, systems, devices, software and ICT asset records.
• Support ICT projects, upgrades, testing, rollouts, cyber security controls and patching.

Key Criteria

• Demonstrated ICT support experience in an Australian Government or Commonwealth environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Microsoft on-premises and cloud environments.
• Ability to analyse ICT issues, identify risks and develop practical solutions.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and ability to manage competing priorities.
