Job summary

ICT Support Officer | Australian Government | Canberra | Baseline Clearance

Master2Manage is seeking applications from experienced ICT Support Officers for a short-term contract opportunity supporting an Australian Government environment in Canberra.

This is a hands-on frontline ICT support role suited to someone with previous Australian Public Service ICT experience, strong Microsoft technical capability and a practical, customer-focused approach.

Location: Barton, ACT

Work arrangement: 100% onsite

Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week

Initial term: 3 months, with potential 3-month extension

Level: APS5 equivalent

Clearance: Current Baseline security clearance required

Expected commencement: September 2026

Indicative rate: $80–$90/hour inclusive of super, depending on experience

Role Responsibilities

• Current Australian Government Baseline security clearance
• Demonstrated ICT support experience within an Australian Public Service environment
• Experience supporting Microsoft on-premises and cloud environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
• Good communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy ICT environment
• Understanding of ICT security and governance requirements

Highly regarded:

• Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD experience
• Understanding of ITIL principles
