Southcott Pty Ltd in Emerald is seeking a reliable Trades Assistant for a permanent, full-time role on a Monday-to-Friday day shift. You’ll support the workshop with hydraulic hose assemblies, orders, and general duties, with hands-on training provided.

The position offers a local Emerald location with no FIFO and opportunities to grow technical skills. You don’t need prior hose or hydraulics experience—training is provided.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates a practical, hands-on approach.
• Shows mechanical aptitude and comfort with basic tools.
• Good numeracy and computer skills for data entry and stock handling.
• Clear communication and a helpful attitude are essential.
• Willingness to work safely and follow workshop procedures.

Responsibilities

• Learn to manufacture hydraulic hose assemblies.
• Measure, cut and prepare hoses and components.
• Operate workshop equipment after training.
• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders.
• Assist customers at the trade counter.
• Receive and organise stock.
• Complete basic job documentation and data entry.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop.
• Support qualified team members with tasks.
