HumanAbility, a not-for-profit Jobs and Skills Council, seeks a Communications Coordinator to plan, draft and deliver clear communications about its projects. The role may be located anywhere in Australia and involves travel for meetings and industry events.

You will work with the Senior Communications Advisor to manage internal and external channels—website, newsletters, events and social media—liaising with contractors as needed. Hybrid model with some travel and after-hours flexibility.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism or similar.
• Experience in a Communications team, preferably not-for-profit or government.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills.
• Proficiency with CMS, social media and Monday.com.
• Ability to collaborate and manage multiple stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Identify, plan and create content for HumanAbility's communications channels, including social, digital and newsletters.
• Translate complex technical content into plain English for diverse audiences.
• Draft materials with clarity, accuracy and consistency.
• Ensure content is accessible and appropriate for stakeholders and the public.
• Work with other teams to align communications across sectors.
• Assist in developing multimedia content, including videos and graphics.
• Observe health, safety and wellbeing policies.
