Job summary

HumanAbility is seeking a Communications Coordinator to plan, draft and deliver clear communications about our work. You will support the Senior Communications Advisor and the Communications team across internal and external channels.

You will manage content for our website, newsletters, events and social media, translate complex policy content into plain English, and work with contractors such as designers and developers. A hybrid work model is offered.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in content management systems, social media platforms and Monday.com (or similar).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Identify, plan and create content for HumanAbility’s communications channels, including social, digital and newsletters.
• Translate complex technical, policy and workforce content into plain English that suits the target audience.
• Draft communication materials with clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
• Ensure all content is accessible and appropriate for diverse audiences, including industry stakeholders and the public.
• Work closely with other teams as directed to align communications across our sectors.
• Assist in the development or commissioning of multimedia content, including videos and graphics, as required.
• Observe and follow work health, safety and wellbeing policies and guidelines.
