Job summary

Enlighten, part of HII's Mission Technologies division, offers a paid Summer 2027 Software Engineer internship in a hybrid setup with on-site work in Maryland NSW. You will contribute by coding back-end services or front-end interfaces and supporting the development of modern, responsive UI.

You'll iterate quickly with the team, integrate across technologies, and gain experience in UI development, system testing, and AI agent workflows. Ideal for seniors or final-semester students.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required; must obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance (not required on day one).
• High School Diploma or equivalent; pursuing Bachelor's in Computer Science with 60%+ credits completed.
• Knowledge of databases, query processing, and SQL.
• Strong working knowledge of RESTful web services.
• Experience with Object Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigms.

Responsibilities

• Code back-end services or front-end interfaces.
• Support development of modern responsive UI for the web.
• Iterate rapidly with the development team.
• Integrate across technologies and perform system testing.
• Experience with Next-Gen Coding Agents and AI agent workflows is a plus.
• Additional duties as assigned.
