Enlighten is a cutting-edge technology company seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build AI integration frameworks and agentic platforms. The role focuses on Python-based components and Kubernetes deployment within a hybrid work model at our MD location.

You will create MCP servers, reusable AI skills, and robust guardrails while coordinating with cross-functional teams to expose APIs to AI agents. Strong testing and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• U.S. Government Security Clearance required or eligible; U.S. Citizenship required.
• 9 years software engineering with Python backend focus; or 7 years with a Master’s degree; or 13 years with HS.
• Kubernetes deployment and management experience in production.
• Hands-on AI integration with commercial or open-source models.
• Experience designing enterprise APIs and microservices.
• Proven leadership or mentoring of engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Python components for the core agent platform.
• Deploy and scale applications in Kubernetes environments.
• Build MCP servers and reusable AI skills for safe interactions.
• Collaborate to expose Java-based APIs to AI agents.
• Implement enterprise AI guardrails and data privacy measures.
• Maintain automated tests and CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Mentor team members and guide engineering efforts.
