Job summary

FutureYou is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. The role supports payroll processing for around 700 employees across multiple sites, with weekly, fortnightly, and monthly pay cycles.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will interpret Enterprise Agreements, manage complex pay rules, and collaborate with HR and site stakeholders to continuously improve payroll processes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a senior payroll role.
• Experience with complex, multi-site payroll processing.
• Strong knowledge of Enterprise Agreements and payroll legislation.
• Ability to interpret complex pay conditions and resolve issues.
• Detail-oriented with a practical, solution-focused approach.
• Available to commence immediately or within 1–2 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Process and review payrolls across multiple frequencies.
• Interpret and apply Enterprise Agreement conditions.
• Manage complex pay rules including overtime, shifts, allowances, and RDOs.
• Investigate payroll discrepancies and employee queries.
• Perform manual calculations and payroll adjustments.
• Support payroll system improvements and implementations.
• Collaborate with HR, payroll, and site stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance.
