Job summary

Metcash is seeking a Payroll Compliance & Project Specialist on a fixed-term basis to analyse payroll data, support compliance projects and deliver accurate, compliant outcomes in a high-volume environment. The role is a 12-month fixed term position with hybrid work options and opportunities for learning and development.

You will complete leave reconciliations across Chris21 and SuccessFactors, support Chris21 projects, assist with backpay on Enterprise Agreements, and prepare data for

Qualifications

• At least five years of payroll-related experience, including reconciliations and reporting.
• Experience with Chris21 and Kronos preferred.
• Strong Excel capability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
• Excellent listening, written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Analyse payroll data and support the compliance project.
• Complete leave balance reconciliations across Chris21 and SuccessFactors.
• Support ad hoc Chris21 projects, including configuration reviews, procedural changes and testing.
• Assist with Enterprise Agreement backpay following renegotiations.
• Review and prepare payroll data for acquisitions and support its upload into Chris21.
• Document Chris21 leave-group configurations against Enterprise Agreements, awards and legislation.
• Assist with end-of-year reconciliations for ATO reporting, maintain procedural documentation and respond to payroll requests within agreed service and quality expectations.
