Job summary

Randstad Australia seeks a Payroll Coordinator/Senior Payroll Officer for a 15-month fixed-term contract. You will own end-to-end fortnightly payroll for 350+ staff, manage an outsourced vendor, and ensure accurate entitlements and regulatory compliance.

Role includes 2 days from home in a hybrid arrangement, with 3 days in the office, and a focus on data integrity, governance, and potential accounts payable support (~10%).

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and tax compliance.
• Experience with complex award interpretation and regulatory reporting.
• Proficiency with enterprise payroll systems (Aurion/Workday) and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end fortnightly payroll for 350+ staff, including reconciliation and regulatory reporting.
• Lead management of outsourced payroll vendor and resolve complex payroll matters.
• Administer payroll aspects related to employee transitions and lifecycle changes.
• Accurately calculate final entitlements and settlements with compliance to tax rules.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with evolving legislation.
• Drive continuous improvement to data integrity, reconciliations and governance.
