Job summary

Marsh in Melbourne is seeking a talented claims professional to join the JLT Public Sector team. This role combines hybrid work with on-site collaboration, requiring three days in the office weekly.

You will provide technical claims guidance, manage high-value liability claims from notification to settlement, liaise with insurers and solicitors, and analyse data to identify patterns and improve client outcomes. A proactive approach and client focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a law degree and have relevant experience in liability claims management.
• Experience handling complex liability claims including public liability and PI matters.
• Knowledge of liability frameworks such as the Wrongs Act and common law principles.
• Proven ability to engage with clients, legal counsels and industry partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical claims guidance to clients and internal teams.
• Manage complex, high-value insurance claims from notification through to settlement.
• Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, solicitors and stakeholders to progress matters.
• Interpret policy wording and assess claim coverage considerations.
• Maintain accurate records, reporting and correspondence throughout the claims lifecycle.
• Identify claim trends and opportunities to improve outcomes for clients.
• Contribute to a collaborative, client-focused claims service culture.
