Job summary

Auto & General in North Lakes near Brisbane is seeking a People Advisor to provide end-to-end employee relations case management within the Frontline People BP team. You will advise leaders and staff, manage performance, conduct and absence matters in line with A&G policies while delivering efficient service.

You will support broader People & Culture initiatives, gather data insights for stakeholders, coach leaders on ER processes, and contribute to divisional people plans.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in HR, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of HR generalist or ER/IR experience, preferably in a fast-moving environment.
• Confident and influential communicator with an ability to engage effectively with all leadership levels.
• Ability to balance conflicting priorities within a changing environment.
• Analytical acumen, capable of synthesising complex data into actionable insights.
• Discretion and confidentiality is mandatory.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite/Google Workspace and HR Information Systems (HRIS).

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end employee relations (ER) case management and resolve ER issues at the appropriate P&C level.
• Collaborate with the Senior/Business Partner to keep the group informed on case updates.
• Coach leaders on ER processes, including live cases, for capability uplift.
• Prepare or participate in Fair Work or other jurisdictional cases as appropriate.
• Identify root causes and systemic issues requiring further investigation.
• Stay updated on legislative and case law developments to advise business leaders.
• Provide practical People solutions to business challenges and objectives.
• Educate the business to adhere to the P&C Operating model and route HR queries to the correct team.
• Work with P&C Centers of Excellence to deliver divisional plans and strategic initiatives.
