Job summary

Mivada Technologies Private Limited is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Sydney-based head office, with a hybrid working arrangement. The role supports payroll processing and payroll transformation initiatives for Australian and NZ clients, including PaaS engagements.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in payroll, strong business analysis ability, and solid knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and taxation. Melbourne-based candidates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in payroll processing, payroll operations, or payroll systems roles.
• Experience delivering end-to-end payroll services for Australian and New Zealand organisations with a focus on Australian payroll.
• Experience supporting payroll system implementations, migrations, upgrades, or transformation initiatives.
• Strong business analysis skills including requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, and testing support.
• Demonstrated ability to manage payroll reconciliations, compliance activities, and issue resolution.
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience across all levels.
• Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards, taxation, and payroll best practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate end-to-end payroll processing across multiple payroll cycles.
• Manage payroll data, employee changes, reconciliations, and compliance requirements.
• Support payroll system implementations, upgrades, and optimisation initiatives.
• Assist with data migration, integrations, testing, and issue resolution.
• Gather and document business requirements, processes, and workflows.
• Act as a key point of contact for client and stakeholder payroll queries.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and transformation.
• Support Payroll as a Service (PaaS) engagements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant payroll legislation, awards, and policies.
• Contribute to payroll reporting, audits, and operational excellence.
