Appreciating Talent is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant for a permanent part-time role in Sydney. The position offers hybrid working arrangements and immediate start, with on-the-job training provided.

You will handle transactions, reconciliations, invoicing, and finance queries while contributing to a supportive finance team. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in relevant roles, strong AP experience, and solid Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in assistant accountant, finance officer, bookkeeping or accounts role.
• Strong AP and invoicing experience.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Confident with accounting systems; ERP and cloud accounting experience highly regarded.
• Intermediate Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions and maintain accurate records.
• Complete reconciliations and support month end.
• Raise invoices and follow up payments.
• Respond to routine finance queries by phone and email.
• General finance administration and process documentation.
