Job summary

City of Gold Coast is seeking a Coordinator Network Operations to provide tactical leadership for the operation of the City’s water, sewage and recycled water networks. You will lead a large, multidisciplinary workforce through Senior Leaders and translate the Branch Strategy into practical outcomes.

Reporting to the Manager Utilities Network Operations, you will use a shared understanding of network performance, capacity, compliance and risk to set priorities, support decision-making and act

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Leadership and Management / Project Management or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• C Class Drivers Licence (Unrestricted) (Mandatory).
• Knowledge of water, sewage and recycled water infrastructure systems and operations.
• Strong leadership in large or multidisciplinary operational environments.
• Commitment to safety as a leader and individual.
• Experience in project coordination, scheduling, budget management and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication, consultation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Senior Leaders and operational teams with clear expectations and safety culture.
• Coordinate safe, reliable and compliant operation of water, sewage and recycled water networks.
• Provide operational leadership during incidents and major network events.
• Coordinate resources and input for major projects and planned activities.
• Improve practices to reduce disruptions, environmental impacts and water-quality risks.
• Manage workforce resources and operational budgets.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and security requirements.
