Job summary

Westpac is seeking a Software Engineering Specialist to contribute to BizEdge, Westpac's next-generation lending origination platform. You will work within a complex legacy environment, enhancing and integrating critical lending systems on a hybrid basis in Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast.

You will design, develop and support solutions, ensuring API security, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless workflows for bankers, brokers and customers.

Qualifications

• Strong experience working with legacy enterprise applications.
• Hands-on development with ASP.NET, C# and Web API.
• Solid Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design practices
• Strong SQL and database development skills
• Experience designing and securing APIs, including API authentication and security best practices
• The ability to troubleshoot and work across complex, interconnected systems
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and a proactive, ownership-focused mindset
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical solutions and project contributions

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support BizEdge lending solutions.
• Integrate BizEdge with Target Lending Applications (TLA).
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and delivery teams to modernise critical lending systems.
• Contribute to the BizEdge Integration Project and improve customer and employee experiences.
