Westpac Bank is seeking an Automation Engineer to design and extend automation frameworks for enterprise applications. You will automate testing, validate large data movements, and investigate issues across multiple teams in a hybrid Surfers Paradise setting.

Qualifications

• Must design, build and improve automation frameworks for enterprise apps.
• Hands-on with TS, Java, Python, Selenium, UFT or similar tools.
• Experience querying SQL/MySQL to validate outcomes and investigate defects.
• Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, and continuous testing practices.
• Experience using AI agents to accelerate testing and data generation.

Responsibilities

• Automate testing processes across enterprise applications.
• Validate large-scale data movements and reconcile results.
• Investigate defects and issues; escalate to engineers and analysts as needed.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to improve automation capability and speed of delivery.
• Contribute to better testing practices and efficient workflows across teams.
