Job summary

Westpac Group is seeking a Software Engineering Specialist to advance BizEdge, our next-generation lending platform. You will work on modernising a complex legacy environment, delivering robust .NET solutions and secure APIs.

Based in Surfers Paradise with hybrid work, you will collaborate with engineers, architects and delivery teams to design, develop and integrate critical lending systems, while driving quality and ownership across the project.

Qualifications

• Experience with legacy enterprise applications.
• Hands-on development with ASP.NET, C# and Web API.
• Solid OOP principles and design practices.
• Strong SQL and database development skills.
• Experience designing and securing APIs (authentication and security).
• Ability to troubleshoot across complex, interconnected systems.
• Ownership mindset and proactive problem solving.
• Strong communication of technical solutions and contributions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support solutions in a complex legacy environment.
• Integrate BizEdge with Target Lending Applications (TLA) to automate workflows.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and delivery teams for project success.
• Drive quality and stability in lending systems through best practices.
