Job summary

Cover Genius, Sydney, is seeking an IT Engineer II to join the Security & IT Operations Team. You will own the management of employee devices and key business applications, combining systems administration with automation to safeguard critical systems.

You will collaborate with security engineers to protect assets and support the employee lifecycle. You will work with HR, Operations and Level 1 support to enable employees, build runbooks, automate tasks, and prepare for audits, in a hybrid

Qualifications

• 2+ years in IT Analyst or Systems Administrator role.
• Experience administering IAM & SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365).
• Experience with MDM (Intune, Kandji) and endpoint security.
• Strong OS knowledge (macOS, Windows 11) in a managed environment.
• Familiarity with IaC concepts and Terraform for automation.
• Understanding of modern corporate networking (Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, Zero Trust).
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) to automate tasks.
• Bachelor level degree in IT/CS/InfoSec or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer corporate laptops (macOS, Windows) via MDM.
• Manage core SaaS apps: Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Okta.
• Automate repetitive IT tasks and improve operations.
• Act as escalation for Level 1 support; diagnose complex issues.
• Develop runbooks and train Level 1 staff.
• Assist in audits and evidence gathering.
