Job summary

Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo is seeking an experienced Technology Support Officer to join the Corporate Services team. Based in Dubbo, the role provides face-to-face, remote and helpdesk IT support across desktops, laptops, mobile devices and peripherals, ensuring timely incident resolution and service delivery in line with KPIs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience providing Level 1 and 2 IT support in a helpdesk or customer service environment, ITIL knowledge desirable
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 11 and common business applications
• Experience using service management tools such as JIRA or similar ticketing systems
• Networking concepts including WiFi, VPN, network ports and connectivity troubleshooting
• Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID
• Experience deploying, patching and supporting devices using Microsoft Configuration Manager and Microsoft Intune
• Experience supporting AV equipment, meeting room systems, radios, EFTPOS or POS
• Strong troubleshooting across hardware, software, mobile devices, peripherals and network connectivity
• Experience managing the IT asset lifecycle and maintaining accurate equipment records
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical users
• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Current NSW Working with Children Check (Volunteer classification)

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and 2 IT support face-to-face and remote, at Taronga Western Plains Zoo (Dubbo)
• Coordinate with Sydney-based teams for escalation
• Troubleshoot and restore IT systems and connectivity
• Set up, configure and support desktops, laptops, mobiles and peripherals per SOE
• Patch and deploy endpoints; assist with server patching
• Support EFTPOS and POS systems; vendor coordination
• Provide backup support for AV and Helpdesk
• Develop and maintain user guides and knowledge articles
• Participate in on-call roster and after-hours support
• Comply with Taronga’s Customer Service Charter and WHS policies
