Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo is seeking an experienced Technology Support Officer to join our Corporate Services team. The role is hands-on, covering face-to-face, remote and helpdesk support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, software, networks and peripherals across Taronga’s IT landscape.

You will provide Tier 1 and 2 support, manage the end-to-end asset lifecycle, patch endpoints, assist with procurement and loan devices, support EFTPOS/POS, and contribute to technology projects

Qualifications

• Experience providing Level 1 and Level 2 IT support in a helpdesk or customer service environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 11 and common business applications.
• Experience using service management tools such as JIRA or similar ticketing systems.
• Working knowledge of networking concepts, including WiFi, VPN, ports and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience managing user accounts using Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience deploying, patching and supporting devices using Configuration Manager and Intune.
• Experience supporting audio visual equipment, meeting room systems, radios, EFTPOS or POS technologies.

Responsabilités

• Provide face-to-face and remote IT support at Taronga Western Plains Zoo (Dubbo), with backup to Mosman as required.
• Act as a local multi-skilled resource, coordinating with Sydney teams for escalation.
• Troubleshoot and restore IT systems, applications and connectivity to optimum performance.
• Set up, configure, deploy and support desktops, laptops, mobile devices and peripherals.
• Manage endpoint patching and asset lifecycle, including procurement and loans.
• Support EFTPOS and POS systems and coordinate with vendors.
