OnDeck Australia is hiring an Early Stage Collections Specialist to engage small business customers in early arrears. You will conduct meaningful conversations, agree on practical next steps and help bring repayments back on track.

The role emphasises empathy, resilience and strong communication in a fast-paced fintech environment. Hybrid work with one day from home and a modern Sydney CBD office are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in collections, customer service, sales or another phone-based environment.
• Confidence handling a high volume of customer conversations.
• Strong communication and rapport-building skills.
• Resilience and the ability to stay composed during difficult conversations.

Responsibilities

• Managing inbound and outbound customer calls.
• Working across a portfolio of early-stage arrears.
• Understanding customer circumstances and identifying solutions.
• Building rapport while navigating challenging conversations.
• Working towards KPIs and team targets.
• Keeping accurate records and following up on actions.
• Collaborating with the Operations team to deliver outcomes.
