Job summary

ConnectSydney is seeking an experienced Advisor to join our Rockdale office to support the Customer & Stakeholder Manager in building relationships with the community and stakeholders and ensuring notification and consultation obligations are met.

The role is frontline for our reputation, with responsibilities including consultations, engagement plans, and coordinating with TfNSW and Councils. This is a 12-month fixed-term position with a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Public Relations/Marketing/Communication & Journalism (Desirable).
• IAP2 certificate (Desirable).
• Current Drivers Licence.
• Exposure to the building/construction/engineering sectors.
• Exposure to community relations and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Act as a first point of contact with the community, stakeholders and customers for planned works.
• Coordinate community, stakeholder and customer consultations with the Customer & Stakeholder Manager.
• Participate in door-knocks and meetings with residents, customers and stakeholders.
• Organise distribution of collateral using traditional and digital channels.
• Coordinate with Fault Management Centre and Councils on vegetation, graffiti, litter, and road maintenance.
• Coordinate with ConnectSydney’s Fault Management Centre to liaise with Local Councils on vegetation trimming around assets.
• Draft community engagement plans and seek approval from the Community & Stakeholder Manager.
• Draft public facing collateral and coordinate approvals.
• Update and maintain Consultation Manager recording and close out interactions.
• Provide information to TfNSW for ministerial briefings and responses.
• Support research and survey programs to provide insights on Harbour Zone stakeholders and customers.
• Manage the TfNSW milestone weekly reporting requirement.
• Manage the 1800 community line and community inbox, escalating issues as appropriate.
• Aim for high levels of customer service to bolster the organisation's reputation.
