Job summary

Marsh Australia seeks a Claims Consultant to join the Claims team in Sydney. This hybrid role requires you to work in the office at least three days per week and is a 12-month fixed-term employment.

You will manage a portfolio of general insurance claims for Local Government clients, focusing on liability. You’ll handle reserving, investigations, and cost management while building strong client and broker relationships.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in claims.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Strong customer service approach.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and work flexibly.
• Eligibility to work in Australia.
• Open to candidates new to the industry; salary depends on experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end processes for a mixed portfolio of Public Liability, Professional Indemnity and Property claims.
• Conduct accurate reserving, claims investigation, manage costs, and negotiate with third parties.
• Build and maintain rapport with clients.
• Foster relationships with brokers, underwriters, reinsurers and internal stakeholders.
