Job summary

Centacare Brisbane is seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team in a full-time hybrid role based in Brisbane. The position includes travel across Metro North, Caboolture and Redlands, with a flexible work-from-home arrangement.

You will conduct intake assessments, develop PBSPs, advise on strategies for challenging behaviours, and maintain timely documentation while contributing to a values-driven, supportive nonprofit environment that supports professional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Behavioural Sciences, Education or other relevant qualification.
• Registration as a Core or Proficient Level Behaviour Support Practitioner.
• At least 3 years of experience in a Behaviour Support role, with experience working with children highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of applied behaviour analysis and trauma-informed practices.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Driver’s License, Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, a police check, and proof of right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake and comprehensive functional assessments with stakeholders.
• Develop PBSPs in accordance with legislative requirements.
• Develop and communicate emergency and contingency plans and strategies.
• Provide expert advice on managing challenging behaviours to improve quality of life.
• Maintain accurate documentation and report progress to management.
