Job summary

Archdiocese of Brisbane is seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner to support Centacare and clients across Metro North, Caboolture and Redlands. The role is hybrid with work-from-home options and may require travel across specified areas.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant degree, be registered as Core or Proficient, have at least 3 years’ experience in Behaviour Support, and be adept with PBSPs, assessment, and reporting. Salary starts at $88,000 plus superannuation and packaging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Behavioural Sciences, Education or related field.
• Current Core or Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner registration.
• 3+ years in Behaviour Support, with children experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of applied behaviour analysis and trauma-informed practices.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Driver's License, Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening, police check, and right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake and comprehensive functional assessments with stakeholders.
• Develop PBSPs in accordance with legislation.
• Create and communicate emergency/contingency plans and PBSP strategies.
• Provide evidence-based strategies to manage behaviours and improve quality of life.
• Maintain accurate documentation and report progress to PBS Manager.
