Job summary

Community Solutions is seeking a compassionate Behaviour Support Practitioner in Rockhampton. You will work with individuals and their support networks to implement Positive Behaviour Support plans that promote safety, choice and independence.

You will conduct functional assessments, develop plans, and collaborate with families, support workers and health professionals to build team capacity through coaching and mentoring.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Developmental Education or related field.
• Registration preferably as a Core Practitioner.
• Experience developing and implementing PBS plans in complex settings.
• Strong communications skills and the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Strong IT, admin and organisation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop evidence-based strategies.
• Complete Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support plans.
• Collaborate with families, support workers, and allied health professionals.
• Build the capacity of support teams through coaching and mentoring.
