Job summary

Community Solutions is seeking a compassionate Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team on the Sunshine Coast. The role focuses on developing and supporting Positive Behaviour Support plans to promote safety, choice and independence for individuals, families and support networks.

You will conduct functional behaviour assessments, write Interim and Comprehensive PBS plans, and coach families and support staff while ensuring high-quality outcomes and compliant practice.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Developmental Education or related field.
• Registration preferably as a Core Practitioner.
• Experience developing and implementing PBS plans in complex settings.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Strong IT, admin and organisation skills as you will be working with billable time.
• A valid driver’s licence and willingness to drive, and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop evidence-based strategies.
• Complete Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support plans
• Collaborate with families, support workers, and allied health professionals.
• Build the capacity of support teams through coaching and mentoring.
