Job summary

BGIS, Community Housing and Property Services in Melbourne seeks an experienced Assistant Accountant to support commercial financial management for a newly established contract. You will assist with AP/AR, invoicing, reconciliation, forecasting and month-end reporting, collaborating with operations and client teams to ensure accuracy and contractual compliance.

The role offers a permanent full-time, hybrid arrangement with core business hours and opportunities to contribute to process

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline.
• Five+ years in Assistant Accountant, Financial Analyst or similar role.
• Experience supporting month-end, reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end, forecasting and budgeting activities for accurate reporting.
• Prepare reconciliations, journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with accounts payable/receivable, invoicing and cash collection.
• Maintain financial data integrity and governance compliance.
• Produce analysis, reports and variance commentary for management.
• Support internal and external audits and broader compliance.
