Automic Group seeks an experienced Business Analyst - AI Specialist to bridge strategy, user needs, data and technology. You will shape high-value AI opportunities, write clear requirements, and support multidisciplinary teams from discovery through implementation and continuous improvement.

You will apply practical AI knowledge to improve business processes, collaborate with technical specialists, and ensure responsible AI practices across delivery.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated business analysis experience delivering complex digital, data or technology initiatives.
• Strong skills in discovery, stakeholder facilitation, process analysis, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and benefits definition.
• Practical understanding of generative AI, large language models, machine learning, evaluation and human oversight, with sound judgement on when to use process improvement, automation or AI.
• Experience using AI tools responsibly to improve productivity, with appropriate output validation and confidentiality controls.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in Agile, product-led or hybrid delivery environments.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts, challenge assumptions and explain trade-offs.
• Understanding of privacy, security, data governance, ethics and risk considerations for AI solutions.
• High value: experience delivering AI or automation solutions into production; familiarity with AI tools, RAG, APIs, SQL, model monitoring or responsible AI frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to identify and prioritise AI and automation opportunities, defining clear problems, business cases and measurable outcomes.
• Assess whether process improvement, rules-based automation, AI or a combined approach offers the most effective solution.
• Elicit and document functional and non-functional requirements, business rules, user stories and acceptance criteria, maintaining traceability to business objectives.
• Map processes, user journeys and data flows, defining AI requirements for output quality, privacy, security, accessibility, human oversight and fallback behaviour.
• Support proofs of concept, workflow prototypes and prompt design, working with technical teams to evaluate model outputs against agreed success measures.
• Contribute to solution design, backlog refinement, user acceptance testing and release readiness, helping address hallucinations, bias and automation failures.
• Embed responsible AI and governance practices throughout delivery, coordinating risk assessments, documenting controls and escalating unresolved issues.
• Support change, training and adoption, monitoring benefits, quality, risks and user feedback to guide continuous improvement
