Carrier Australia is seeking a motivated Air Conditioning Apprentice to learn from experienced HVAC technicians, combining on‑the‑job training with formal TAFE studies while gaining exposure to installation, servicing, maintenance and fault finding.

This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience across HVAC equipment, travel to customer sites, and a pathway to becoming a qualified Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician, with a strong safety and quality focus.

Qualifications

• No extensive industry experience required; the right attitude and willingness to learn are valued.
• Eligible to work in Australia; holding a current driver’s license or willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, servicing and maintenance of air conditioning and HVAC equipment.
• Learn fault-find and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and servicing.
• Support the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems.
• Learn to safely use hand and power tools.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Follow Carrier’s health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Attend TAFE and complete all required apprenticeship training and assessments.
• Develop technical knowledge and practical skills through hands‑on experience.
• Work professionally with customers and colleagues across a range of customer sites.
