Job summary

2XM is seeking a Refrigeration Fitter / HVAC Technician for a long‑term Granville project in Western Sydney. You will work in the workshop performing mechanical, electrical and refrigeration assembly, overhaul and testing of HVAC systems to engineering specs and safety requirements.

Day shift, Monday to Friday 7:00am–3:30pm. Casual or permanent employment with overtime and RDO accrual. Join an established rail engineering operation focused on quality, safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in refrigeration and HVAC assembly and testing.
• Ability to read technical drawings and BOMs.
• Willingness to work in Granville workshop, Western Sydney.
• Casual or permanent long-term project oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, electrical and refrigeration assembly of HVAC systems.
• Complete end-of-line testing of finished products.
• Disassemble, clean and assess HVAC components.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs.
• Read drawings and BOMs and follow work instructions.

• Casual - Permanent long term (5X Years duration project).
• Monday - Friday | Day Shift | 7:00am - 3:30pm
• Earn up to $56.44/hr Casual or $42.89/hr Permanent + Overtime + RDO Accrual

Operating from its Granville workshop in Western Sydney, the business provides specialist engineering, maintenance and overhaul services across sophisticated HVAC, refrigeration and rail equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Refrigeration Fitter / HVAC Technician to join an established engineering operation, working within a quality-focused environment where safety, technical excellence and continuous improvement are key priorities.

The Role:

Working within the Granville workshop, you'll be responsible for the mechanical, electrical and refrigeration assembly, overhaul, servicing and testing of HVAC and refrigeration systems in accordance with engineering specifications, safety requirements and customer standards.
Your responsibilities will include, but aren't limited too:

• Perform mechanical, electrical and refrigeration assembly of HVAC and associated equipment.
• Complete end-of-line testing of finished company products and components.
• Disassemble, clean and assess complex HVAC and refrigeration components.
• Perform diagnostic testing to identify faults, defects and failed components.
• Overhaul, repair and reassemble components in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Conduct functional testing and complete associated documentation and quality checklists.
• Prepare detailed fault analysis reports following incoming equipment assessments.
• Perform brazing, mechanical fitting and electrical fitting activities.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and work instructions.
• Assist and support Engineering and customers where required.
• Maintain tools, equipment and company property in excellent working condition.
• Participate in toolbox talks and continuous improvement initiatives.
