ARA Mechanical in Sydney, Australia, is seeking an experienced HVAC Service & Maintenance Technician to join its mechanical ventilation team. The role focuses on post-construction maintenance, warranty works, and DLP services across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and residential projects.

You will ensure newly completed mechanical services operate safely and efficiently in line with client and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in HVAC service, maintenance and fault finding.
• Knowledge of commercial ventilation and air conditioning systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical services drawings and documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Current Driver's Licence and White Card.

Responsibilities

• Attend and rectify DLP and warranty service calls.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance on HVAC and ventilation systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, controls, and airflow-related faults or supervise the subcontract installers under their warranty obligations.
• Conduct post-completion inspections and system performance checks.
• Service fans, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation systems, smoke control systems and associated plant.
• Liaise with clients, builders, consultants, and equipment suppliers.
• Complete service reports, maintenance records, and defect documentation.
• Ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with relevant standards and site requirements.

You will be responsible for ensuring our newly completed mechanical services installations continue to operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with client and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Strong knowledge of commercial ventilation and air conditioning systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical services drawings and documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Current Driver's Licence and White Card.
• Desirable: Restricted Electrical Licence.
• Desirable: Working at Heights, EWP, and Confined Space certifications.
• Desirable: Experience with BMS and commissioning activities.
