Job summary

Modus Projects is seeking motivated HVAC & Refrigeration Apprentices in Sydney to learn from experienced tradespeople on commercial sites.

1st–2nd year apprentices are strongly encouraged to apply, with 3rd–4th years welcome. Applicants should hold an ARCtick refrigerant licence or be willing to obtain it, plus a valid driver’s licence and White Card. A supportive team culture and ongoing development are offered.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers on-site and ensure quality workmanship.

Looking for a place to learn your trade, build your skills and be part of a supportive team? Modus Projects is growing, and we’re looking for a motivated HVAC & Refrigeration Apprentice to join our Sydney team.

Whether you’re just starting out or already progressing through your apprenticeship, this is your opportunity to learn from experienced tradespeople, gain valuable commercial experience and build a long-term career in the HVAC industry.

What You’ll Be Doing

Get hands‑on experience across key commercial sites, working alongside qualified HVAC technicians and learning the trade from the ground up.

You’ll gain exposure to:

• Fault finding, servicing and practical trade skills.

• Commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.

• Preventative, reactive, and planned HVAC maintenance.

• Working across diverse commercial sites for major corporate clients.

• Customer service, site safety and completing service reports.

You’ll receive ongoing guidance, one‑on‑one mentoring and support from experienced tradespeople who want to see you succeed.

What We’re Looking For

We’re interested in your attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to developing your skills.

• 1st and 2nd year apprentices strongly encouraged to apply.

• 3rd and 4th year apprentices also welcome.

• Current trainee refrigerant handling licence through ARCtick, or willingness to obtain the required licence.

• Current driver’s licence.
