Modus Projects is seeking an experienced HVAC & Refrigeration Technician to join our national Facilities Maintenance team in Queensland. You will service and repair essential HVAC and refrigeration equipment across a diverse portfolio of commercial and retail sites, including chillers, AHUs, CRAC units and FCUs.

You'll work on larger, more complex systems, build technical expertise, and enjoy a long-term opportunity with a growing national business that invests in its people.

Competenze

• HVAC & Refrigeration trade qualification
• 3–5 years' commercial HVAC & Refrigeration experience
• Current Driver's Licence
• First Aid Certificate
• White Card
• Blue Card or able to obtain one

Mansioni

• Keep critical HVAC and refrigeration systems operating reliably and safely.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults across chillers, AHUs, CRAC units, FCUs and refrigeration systems.
• Perform preventative, reactive and planned maintenance as required by clients.
• Inspect systems, carry out inspections and preventative maintenance activities.
• Complete work orders, risk assessments and required documentation.
• Participate in an after-hours/on-call roster.

Your Day-to-Day

No two days are exactly the same. You'll be responsible for keeping critical equipment operating safely, efficiently and reliably.

You’ll:

• Complete preventative, reactive and planned maintenance

• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults

• Service and maintain chillers, AHUs, CRAC units, FCUs and refrigeration systems

• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance activities

• Assemble, install, test and maintain HVAC and refrigeration equipment

• Inspect refrigeration and chilled water systems

• Identify opportunities to complete works more efficiently and cost-effectively

• Complete building inspections and provide clear reports

• Complete work orders, risk assessments and required documentation

• Participate in an after-hours/on-call roster

What You'll Bring

We're looking for a qualified HVAC & Refrigeration Technician who takes pride in their work and enjoys solving technical challenges.

You’ll bring:

• Relevant HVAC & Refrigeration trade qualification

• 3–5 years' commercial HVAC & Refrigeration experience

• Current Driver's Licence

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability

• Experience working across commercial and/or retail facilities

• Ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Construction Induction Card (White Card)

• Blue Card or the ability to get one

• First Aid Certificate

• EWP Under 11m

Experience with larger systems and critical environments — particularly chillers — will be highly regarded.
